Info In Movie News | A new Bob Dylan biopic film titled "A Complete Unknown" will be released on Christmas Day (December 25) 2024. ”A Complete Unknown,” which arrives Aug. 6, will go toe to toe with the remake of the silent classic “Nosferatu,” whose own release is on that date, per Variety’s reports.
On top of that, the Bob Dylan biopic will also be competing with the movie "Mufasa: The Lion King," which hits theaters a week earlier, on December 20th, 2024.
“A Complete Unknown” will chronicle the life of the singer Bob Dylan, with a focus on his transition from folk music to rock. The film is a loose adaptation of the book “Dylan Goes Electric,” by Elijah Wald.
The biopic, which takes place in 1961, will follow a 19-year old Bob Dylan as he heads to New York in pursuit of new opportunities.
Timothée Chalamet will play Bob Dylan, and Elle Fanning will star as his girlfriend, Sylvie Russo.

In addition to the main cast, the film will feature Edward Norton, Monica Barbaro, Boyd Holbrook, P. J. Byrne, Scoot McNAiry, and Dan Fogler.
Teaser footage for "A Complete Unknown" was released on July 24th, showcasing Timothée Chalamet's transformation into Bob Dylan for the first time.
The teaser begins with Chalamet's portrayal of Bob Dylan arriving in New York in 1961 to pursue a music career. It then shows him performing in front of an audience, singing Bob Dylan's song "A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall."
The teaser introduces two influential women in Bob Dylan's life, singer Joan Baez played by Monica Barbaro and Suze Rotolo played by Elle Fanning. It concludes by presenting the character played by Edward Norton, who portrays Pete Seeger, a singer and friend of Bob Dylan.
The Bob Dylan film is being produced by Fox Searchlight, known for their previous work on music legend biopics, including "Bohemian Rhapsody" about Queen's frontman, Freddie Mercury.
