After a freak incident involving a meteor shower, Bong Ye-bun, a small-town veterinarian living in the rural village Mujin, discovers she has an extraordinary psychic ability. Ye-bun touches behinds of animals or people in order to access their memory. Ye-bun, initially bewildered by her new ability, finds her life intertwined with a series of mysterious events, including a string of murders that baffle the local authorities.

Pairing up with Moon Jang-yeol, a hot-headed detective transferred to the small-town precinct after a demotion, Ye-bun uses her psychometric powers to help investigate murders. At first, Jang-yeol is unsure of her skills, but soon understands that her gift could help solve these odd cases. As they dig through the past together, they discover hidden secrets about the town’s residents, including a mysterious convenience store worker named Kim Seon-woo, who captures Ye-bun’s attention but also arouses Jang-yeol’s suspicion.

Plot Highlights:

Ye-bun’s powers emerge after she has an encounter with a cow during a meteor shower. She finds it hard to understand her power, but begins using it to help animals and clients at her veterinary clinic.

Jang-yeol goes in on Mujin’s unsolved serial murder cases, eager to escape the sleepy town and return to Seoul, and teams up with Ye-bun after he learns of her powers as a means of cracking them.

Their investigations uncover the secret lives of Mujin’s eccentric residents, from Ye-bun’s grandfather, a retired veterinarian looking for answers about the mysterious death of his daughter, to Seon-woo, whose history makes him a prime suspect in the murders.

Ye-bun’s confidant Bae Ok-hee is a source of comic relief and unflinching support, and her aunt Jung Hyeon-ok sparks feelings for her first love, Jong-mook, a local police chief.

As they delve deeper into the two separate cases, the duo stumble upon startling secrets about the small town that seems to have everything hidden beneath the surface, culminating in a climactic faceoff with the real perpetrator.
