Brad Pitt's F1 movie hits theaters in June 2025 (Trailer)

Info in Movie News | The new trailer of this F1 sport film was released by warner bros pictures on youtube channel and Apple TV+ on X platform. The film, which stars Pitt and is helmed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick), will air worldwide on June 25, 2025.

The film is written by Joseph Kosinski and Ehren Kruger (Top Gun: Maverick), and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Chad Oman, Dede Gardner, and Jeremy Kleiner.

Reported by Collider. on February 10, the film reveals its great ambition to bring the most immersive racing scenes ever to the cinema screen. The film required a two-year filming process in original Formula 1 circuits.

Sonny Hayes, a retired F1 driver cast from the sport after another one of his big crashes in the ’90s, is played by Brad Pitt.

But then one day an old friend, played by Javier Bardem, asks him to join a team that’s floundering at the bottom.

Hayes then reenters the cockpit with a new mission in mind: mentor a hotshot young racer (Damson Idris of Snowfall) named Joshua Pearce and pilot the fictional team APXGP to the top of the leaderboard.

"He does it with ease" Brad Pitt said in a sneak peak of his character's personality, story and perspective in the racing world.

"The atmosphere is amazing, being part of this and telling our story is an extraordinary experience. The F1 team opened their doors for us. I play a racer who had a horrific accident in the 1990s and disappeared and then moved on to race in another discipline," Brad Pitt was quoted as saying by Collider.

He continued: “Until finally, his old friend who owns the team now calls him up. This is the bottom ranked team and has not yet to even score a point. But they have this talented young racer, played by Damson Idris, and they call me in as a last resort.”

“You’ve never seen speed like this, you’ve never felt G-force like this, the footage we captured was pretty phenomenal,” he ended.

The last moments of F1's production were shot during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and there was even a cameo from Brad Pitt's character on the podium, next to actual racers George Russell and Charles Leclerc.

Along with Brad Pitt, Damson Idris and Javier Bardem, the film stars Kerry Condon (The Banshees of Inisherin), Tobias Menzies (The Crown), Sarah Niles (Ted Lasso), Kim Bodnia (Killing Eve) and Samson Kayo (Truth Seekers).
