“Revelations” Unfolds a Gripping Battle Between Faith and Justice, Netflix March 21

Info in Movie News | The upcoming movie of Netflix, Revelations poses a very challenging psychological thriller that dissects the faith, justice and addiction. With the screenplay written by the webtoon creator of the same name, writer Choi Gyu Seok, the movie illustrates the tragic consequences of the faith in reckless actions.  Ryu Jun Yeol and Shin Hyun Been are in pursuit of luck, fortune, and risk in role reversal melodrama.

Main character Pastor Sung Min-chan (Ryu Jun-yeol) is the one around which the story of Revelations revolve. He is a very zealous person who thinks that the date of his birth was sent from above to inspect the issue of one of the church members that disappeared. Sung is caught in the middle as his stand on the matter is anti-Yeon-hui (Shin Hyun-been), who is an overambitious detective on a mission of her own grappling with her past. She is daring to crack the case with or without the pastor who is very hardheaded on the issue and hence she can seek only herself.

Recently released photos from the movie reveal that this will be a dark, eerie, atmospheric, and awe-inspiring crime drama full of conflicts and spectral appearances of the loss of mind of the characters, according to Soompi. Among other things, an act in which Pastor Sung Min-chan would be following criminal convict Kwon Yang-rae (Shin Min-jae) through streets swept by a rain is described in a way that makes it difficult to differentiate whether he is a villain or a hero.

Complementing the themes of psychology and supernatural elements, Revelations requires the audience to think of what they believe is certainty (as truth) which, in turn, creates reality itself. Director Yeon Sang-ho, the very one who brought Hellbound to Netflix and who further excels with the zombie thriller Train to Busan, teams up with writer Choi Gyu-seok for a story that is meant to keep the audience thinking about the role of the two characters that are fighting a conspiracy in the morality scale of good and evil.

Be prepared for a journey into the wild to find out what to set on fire because on NETFLIX you will find it only on March 21.
