Info in Movie News | Disney again brings a surprise for Star Wars fans! In the panel The Future of World-Building at Disney at SXSW, it was announced that the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attractions at Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios will receive a major update. This time, Din Djarin aka The Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu will be a part of the new mission debuting on May 22, 2026.
Interestingly, like reported by Collider, that date also coincides with the release of The Mandalorian & Grogu movie in theaters. The coming Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel will immerse fans in the entirety of the new Star Wars story based on an article written by Jon Favreau, the creator of the Mandalorian series. The visitors will be the main characters while the other outlines move around them. The meandering characters collectively spin a larger universe of which the visitors are an integral part.
"The experience won't retell events from the movie—but more like bringing visitors into moments that happen behind the scenes of what they see on the big screen,” said Favreau.
This update becomes even more interesting as Favreau and Dave Filoni are directly involved in its creative process. In addition, they have filmed new scenes for the attraction at the original locations of The Mandalorian & Grogu movie. This would simulate presence in Naruto's garage. In this project a book with some of the possible planets to be visited has been made, but the set of the planets to be visited is still tacit, unofficial. However, Cloud City in Bespin seems to be undergroul.
