Ice Age 6: The Beloved Franchise Returns to Theaters in 2026 with Original Cast

Info in Movie News | It's been years since the last time it appeared in the cinema, Ice Age franchise will entertain its fans again with the sixth movie which is planned to be released on the 18th of December, 2026. Ice Age still lives despite Blue Sky Studios that created the franchise being closed down in 2021. 20th Century Animation is the new part of Blue Sky that continues the journey and is backed up by Disney.

A report from Collider confirms that actor John Leguizamo, the one who reprises his role as Sid the sloth, opens up his excitement about the project. He thinks, Ice Age is not just another regular animated movie, but it is a part of an emotional journey of many families. “Now it's not just children but also their parents and grandparents who come to the cinema and grow with the movie. It’s like a sentimental journey for many people," said Leguizamo. In addition, he ensures the movie will still bring out the characteristic humor of the trio of icons: Ray Romano as Manny, Denis Leary as Diego, and himself as Sid.

Nevertheless, Ice Age 6 is not just going to bring back the old voices, but it will also keep the key person behind the scenes. Lori Forte, the producer who has handled all the romantic comedies in this franchise, is still part of the latest project. This gives hope that the sixth movie will still keep the special mood that had already been loved by fans since the first movie from 2002.

Through a combination of nostalgia and fresh humor from the original actors, Ice Age 6 is certain to be a must-watch for all generations.
