This rom-com film not only redefines the up-and-down and full-of-adventures relationship called "true love," but also reinterprets the destined love of two ex-lovers who meet each other unexpectedly.
According to Soompi on Tuesday (March 25, 2025), Waiting for Gyeongdo tells the story of Lee Gyeong Do (Park Seo Joon), an entertainment reporter who finds himself covering a high-level infidelity scandal. However, things take a surprising turn when he realizes the woman at the center of the scandal is none other than his ex-girlfriend, Seo Ji Woo (Won Ji An). They were once in love when they were in their early 20s, later they reconnected at 28 and ultimately they went their separate ways. Now, destiny arranges them to lead the same life but in a more complicated way.

In addition to Park Seo Joon and Won Ji An, the drama also has a strong supporting cast. Lee El plays Seo Ji Yeon, Ji Woo’s responsible and successful older sister.
