Cobra Kai Season 1 Synopsis
Thirty-three years after his defeat by Daniel LaRusso in the 1984 All Valley Tournament, Johnny Lawrence leads a difficult life as a repairman. In addition to losing his job, his life becomes more and more chaotic. LaRusso Auto Group is the car dealership of Daniel LaRusso, which is also a fact of the situation. Johnny once, by chance, comes to the aid of a young boy named Miguel Diaz when he is threatened by a group of bullies. Initially reluctant, Johnny decides to train Miguel and reopens the Cobra Kai dojo with money from his stepfather, Sid. The return of Cobra Kai sparks tension with Daniel, who views it as a symbol of his dark past.
Further, Johnny's clashes with his son, Robby Keene, who is feeling alienated and blackmails his father by getting a job at Daniel's dealership out of revenge on his father, is another problem for Johnny. At the same time, Miguel develops into a brave fighter through Johnny's mentorship, but his motto "Strike First, Strike Hard, No Mercy" that is teaching him becomes the reason for his aggressive behavior. Cobra Kai becomes more popular thanks to the Maloney Diablos, including Eli "Hawk" Moskowitz and Aisha Robinson, who, in the meantime, are pulling Daniel's daughter Sam LaRusso into the circle of their martial arts rivalry. Through this, Miguel Kloze is able to defeat Kyler and his gang confidently, which impresses Sam, but a trivial misunderstanding weakens bond between them. During the same time, Robby makes the bond with Daniel stronger and starts karate lessons at Miyagi-Do learning his philosophy.
The climax occurs at the All Valley Tournament, where Cobra Kai competes once again. Miguel makes it to the final against Robby, who is now Daniel's student. However, Miguel fights dirty by attacking Robby's injured shoulder, ultimately winning the match. Johnny, realising his teaching methods have led Miguel astray, feels disappointed in himself. Meanwhile, Daniel decides to open a Miyagi-Do dojo in response to Cobra Kai's influence. As Johnny drowns in his sorrow, the unexpected arrival of his former mentor, John Kreese, flags a bigger conflict on the horizon.
Cobra Kai Season 2 Synopsis
Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) who analyses the Cobra Kai philosophies in a different way, perhaps for the very first time, is seen to be shifting gear. Kreese (Martin Kove), Johnny's former teacher, comes with a wish to coach at the dojo, just like the good old times. Johnny turns him down given their previous negative experiences together. On the other hand, LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) besides Cobra Kai, made a move to Rival it by starting Miyagi-Do Karate Academy and among the first students were Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan) and Mu daughter, Samantha LaRusso (Mary Mouser). However, Miyagi-Do, which doe not have the same popularity as Cobra Kai, struggles with the recruitment of new students.
The producers are set to rock the boat as the two dojos are pitted against each other. Tensions at the school rise as Johnny, hitherto unpopular with the students, begins to incorporate a new teaching approach to the students whose lives are in his hands. On the one hand, we have the Miyagi-Do dojo here that has some issues with Daniel who spends too much of his time there and it causes the friction in his marriage with Amanda (Courtney Henggeler). At the same time, Demetri (Gianni DeCenzo), who was once a member of Cobra Kai, moves to Miyagi-Do after being treated unfairly by Kreese. New kid in town, Tory Nichols (Peyton List), a street fighter joins Cobra Kai. Her coming adds more complexity to the situation because she gets involved in a grudge match with Sam about her personal issues and the relationship she has with Miguel.
The culmination of the hostility between the two dojos occurs during the school battle. In a brutal, violent clash, Tory kicks Sam, thus provoking a fight between Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do. Miguel and Robby eventually come to blows, and while Miguel initially fights to his best, he later extends a hand of friendship to Robby and as Robby turns away from him Miguel without thinking pushes Robby off a balcony, almost killing him. Furthermore, Amanda, madly as she is, closes Miyagi-Do to Daniel, and however, Johnny is not controlling Cobra Kai as Kreese has the full control power of the dojo. Deep down, Johnny dumps his phone, though not realizing that his former girlfriend, Ali Mills, has just sent a friend request on Facebook, thus creating new possibilities for an unexpected future.

Finally, Miguel awakens, but the dream of walking again is shattered as he realizes that he is handicapped now, which prompts Johnny to support him even more. On the other hand, Johnny and Daniel unite to look for the fugitive but Robby, frustrated by a sense of betrayal, the one who handed him over to the police to get a lighter sentence, causes their endeavor to fall apart.
Meanwhile, John Kreese (Martin Kove) becomes a real dictator in Cobra Kai, dismissing the students he sees as weak and enrolling new combatants such as Kyler (Joe Seo) and Tory Nichols (Peyton List). In the midst of all this, Cobra Kai's savagery, Hawk (Jacob Bertrand) is more and more under Kreese's control to the point that he is able to ruthlessly beat Demetri (Gianni DeCenzo) when they meet in this cycle. Accordingly, he goes to Okinawa then he meets Kumiko (Tamlyn Tomita) and his nemesis, Chozen Toguchi (Yuji Okumoto) and Daniel is dealing with more than he anticipates. He learns new knowledge from Chozen like Vitapoints and how you can subdue an enemy without harming him. Meanwhile, Johnny employs unique methods to motivate Miguel to walk again, including taking him to a rock concert. Miguel gradually recovers, but his relationship with Tory deteriorates after he refuses to engage in the feud between the dojos.
The tension culminates when Cobra Kai students attack the LaRusso home, triggering a massive fight with the Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang Karate students - the new dojo Johnny founded after leaving Cobra Kai. Amid the melee, Sam ultimately conquers her fears and defeats Tory, while Hawk turns against Cobra Kai and reunites with Demetri. As Johnny confronts Kreese in a fierce fight, Robby surprisingly chooses to defend Kreese and attacks his own father. Daniel arrives just in time to stop Kreese with the technique he learned from Chozen. They agree that Cobra Kai will disband if they lose in the upcoming All Valley tournament. Simultaneously, Kreese contacts Terry Silver, the notoriously ruthless former Cobra Kai mentor, signalling a greater conflict up ahead. Conversely, Daniel and Johnny finally unite, training their students together to face the larger looming threat.
Synopsis of Cobra Kai Season 4
The partnership of Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) in their crusade versus Cobra Kai was the first attempt to achieve a common ground in training their students, despite their philosophy of karate being completely different. Despite the fact that Johnny's approach of the offensive tactics of Zen Kobra, Daniel remained committed to Mr. Miyagi's exclusive defensive training model of Miyagi-Do style of karate. The tension escalated, leading them to train separately. Meanwhile, John Kreese (Martin Kove), to end up chased after, Johnny Lawrence want to bring back the old time hey-day of the COBRA Kai by bringing one of his old and kind of sleazy friends (Thomas Ian Griffith) who was rich and could make all things turn his way. At first, Silver resisted on account of wanting to leave his violent past behind, but was successfully coerced back by Kreese. On another note, Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan) joined the Cobra Kai dojo and began to train students using Miyagi-Do techniques, giving him an edge over other dojos.
Tensions heighten with arrival Kenny Payne (Dallas Dupree Young), a newcomer who becomes a victim of school bullying by Anthony LaRusso (Griffin Santopietro), Daniel's son. Seeking protection, Kenny joins Cobra Kai and undergoes training under Robby. Meanwhile, the love of Johnny and Miguel Diaz (Xolo Maridueña) starts to break down due to Miguel's relationship with Daniel who becomes a better father figure that Miguel is searching for. This aura of disharmony also affects the allied dojo students, precipitating in Hawk (Jacob Bertrand) being betrayed by his Cobra Kai allies who shave his head in revenge. Simultaneously, Amanda LaRusso (Courtney Henggeler), who at first did not want to forgive Tory Nichols (Peyton List) now sees her as a fighter who needs to be rescued from Kreese's influence.
The great awaited All Valley Tournament arrives, featuring a new format: skill categories, individual male and female fighting. Arguably, Eli/Hawk becomes the winner of the male category by defeating Robby in the finals after regaining his self-confidence. In the meanwhile, Tory happily beats Sam LaRusso (Mary Mouser) in the female category to bring the overall victory to Cobra Kai. But after the fight, Tory realizes that Silver had bribed the referee, giving herself an unfair win. After the competition, Miguel goes to Mexico to find his biological father while Johnny stays behind trying to find him. In other news, Kreese is double-crossed by Silver and sent to jail, which means Silver has complete control over Cobra Kai, therefore, a dojo expansion across the city would be possible. Realizing the greater danger, Daniel goes to Chozen Toguchi (Yuji Okumoto), whom he once was opposed to, but now is an ally, to get his help to beat Cobra Kai once and for all.
Cobra Kai Season 5 Synopsis
When Cobra Kai is victorious at the All Valley Tournament, Terry Silver, enacted by Thomas Ian Griffith, decides to extend his power by initiating new dojos in various places in the San Fernando Valley. Meanwhile, Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan) decide to make their way to Mexico to look for Miguel Diaz (Xolo Maridueña), who in turn is looking for his biological father Hector Salazar. Despite the fact that Hector Salazar was originally regarded as a good man by Miguel, he later in Mexico found out that his mother Carmen (Vanessa Rubio) was right about Hector's dark side. Finally, Miguel, with the help of Johnny and Robby, is able to finish his walk and come up with a beautiful man than he was before. As Daniel works with Chozen Toguchi to worsen Silver, who for his part will use all means to avoid the plots, he alludes that Chozen would have to join Cobra Kai and become a spy, to start posing as one of the newly recruited Senseis.
There is a conflict that arises when Kenny Payne (Dallas Dupree Young), a one-time victim of bullying, becomes the main opponent of Cobra Kai with the help of Silver and his new mentor Kim Da-Eun (Alicia Hannah-Kim). On the flip side, Samantha LaRusso (Mary Mouser) and Miguel have problems in their relationship and after Miguel witnessed her being focused solely on her personal growth this got even worse. At the same time, Tory Nichols (Peyton List) is both saddened and angry about the fact that Cobra Kai won the All Valley, thanks to cheating. And so, she aligns with Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang to unveil the dark side of Silver. While in jail, Kreese (Martin Kove) plans to grab the situation to his advantage, but in the end, he himself feels lonely among the students.
The climax of the conflict occurs when the students from Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang infiltrate the Cobra Kai dojo in an attempt to find evidence that Silver bribed the tournament judges. During a big fight among the dojos, the students come to realize that Silver has been using them for his personal agenda. Meanwhile, Daniel confronts Silver in the final duel at the Cobra Kai's main dojo. By using techniques he learned from Chozen, Daniel ultimately defeats Silver, humiliating him in front of his students. As a consequence, Silver gets arrested and Cobra Kai collapses. Still, by the end of the season, a surprise emerges when Kreese successfully escapes from prison, hinting at a possibility of a new conflict in the future.
Cobra Kai Season 6 Synopsis
After Cobra Kai's destruction in the last season, Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) team up to train their students for the biggest karate competition in the world, the Sekai Taikai. They rally students from Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang despite the fact that they have some differences over the new dojo's name. John Kreese (Martin Kove) successfully gets out of prison, making it look like a place to hide the fact that there is a crisis coming. But in the meantime, their tension starts to drop as Sam LaRusso (Mary Mouser) and Tory Nichols (Peyton List) do their preparation for the fight. As for Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan), he struggles to make amends with Kenny Payne (Dallas Dupree Young) who still can’t get rid of his past in Cobra Kai. Nonetheless, Cobra Kai is going to self-destruct because of Kreese’s entrance and his relationship with Kim Da-Eun (Alicia Hannah-Kim) won’t leave things to chance but will be the stimuli that will pave the way for it to become something else of which they have not conceived yet.
The students prepare for the Sekai Taikai while Johnny and Daniel are faced with a great challenge upon learning that Cobra Kai was invited to play in the tournament. On the way to the world championship in Barcelona, the students deal with personal conflicts and new feuds. Miguel Diaz (Xolo Maridueña) struggles to obtain a spot in his dream university, while Robby experiences jealousy when he sees Tory get too close to the reformed Cobra Kai group. In contrast to this, Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith), who got defeated, still holds a big influence in the shadow of the events with the "Sekai Taikai" with a twist to the already known plans. Daniel also faces unexpected events while he learns essential aspects of Mr. Miyagi's past, which makes him reconsider the approach he has been following all these years.
The battle peaks when Miyagi-Do confronts the Cobra Kai himself, Kreese as well as the new coach, Sensei Wolf (Lewis Tan) in the Sekai Taikai final. Johnny, now a father, fights a decisive duel against Wolf to prove the outdated relevance of the old Cobra Kai principles. Simultaneously, Miguel and Robby encounter their most formidable opponents, while Tory is caught between her loyalty to Kreese and her friendship with Sam. As the match ends with Miyagi-Do's victory, Johnny and Daniel realize their karate legacy is not just about winning but about nurturing a stronger and more honorable generation. With Cobra Kai finally beaten, they prepare for a new future, merging the teachings of Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang into a truly unique dojo.
