Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, Drops First Teaser: Animatronics Are Everywhere!

Info in Movie News | After almost two years since the first film release, Five Nights at Freddy’s fans finally have something to get excited about—the highly anticipated sequel has released its first teaser! Universal Pictures and Blumhouse have confirmed that this animation will be hitting theaters exclusively, unlike the first movie, which had a simultaneous streaming release on Peacock.

According to Collider, the teaser opens with Vanessa (Elizabeth Lail) showing up at Mike’s (Josh Hutcherson) door with a serious look on her face. “They’re out there, Mike,” she says. When he asks where, she responds with a chilling, “Everywhere.” The trailer then shows the animatronics roaming outside their usual setting, appearing in schools, on streets, and in other public spaces before chaos erupts.

Emma Tammi is back in the director’s chair after successfully helming the first film, which pulled in over $297 million at the global box office. While the original received mixed reviews from critics, its massive financial success—fueled by the game’s dedicated fanbase—made a sequel inevitable.

With the return of key cast members like Josh Hutcherson, Matthew Lillard, Elizabeth Lail, and Piper Rubio, plus Blumhouse’s horror expertise, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 promises to expand the terrifying world of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. For fans eagerly waiting for more animatronic mayhem, the wait is almost over—this sequel is coming soon to theaters!
