Although he was almost chosen to play Doctor Doom and Mr. Sinister, Hamm is still positive and believes that eventually he will don a costume as a superhero, or a supervillain, in the Marvel universe that is continuously growing.
According to Collider, Hamm recently shared his appreciation for the MCU in an interview. He acknowledged how secretive Marvel is about their casting and upcoming projects, but that hasn’t discouraged him. “I have a lot of appreciation for that world, so hopefully that's reciprocated. Why not me?” he said.
While he hasn’t officially joined the MCU or DCU yet, Hamm’s resume is packed with impressive projects. He was the voice of Tony Stark in the animated TV series M.O.D.O.K. on Hulu and he has acted in hit films such as Transformers One, Good Omens, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and Mad Men definitely. He also appeared as a guest in shows like Bob's Burgers, Family Guy, and SpongeBob SquarePants.
