Spring of Youth: SBS’s New Campus Romance Drama Premieres This May

Info in Movie News | SBS is set to welcome the spring season with its upcoming youth romance drama Spring of Youth, which premieres on May 6 and 7, 2025. This new series blends music, healing, and college life in a story that feels both fresh and nostalgic.

According to Soompi, Spring of Youth centers on Sa Gye (played by Ha Yoo Joon), a K-pop superstar and the leader of Korea’s most popular boy group, The Crown. At the peak of his fame, a sudden scandal leads to his departure from the group. After a derailed in his career, Sa Gye decides to attend a university and for the first time becomes a part of a campus community.

There, he meets Kim Bom (Park Ji Hu), a brilliant music student with a quiet resilience shaped by personal loss. Once a hopeful Ivy League candidate, Bom gave up her dream after losing her mother six years ago. Now she balances her studies with part-time work, while remaining deeply passionate about music as the lead vocalist and keyboardist of the campus band Tusagye.

Getting inspired from Bom and the exciting atmosphere of college life, Sa Gye falls in love with music again and starts his band. As the two collaborate, their connection begins to shift into something deeper, offering both healing and emotional growth.

The story is charged with tension because of Seo Tae Yang (portrayed by Lee Seung Hyub), the confident and cool medical school boy who is the head of the school's band. He is, in fact, quiet about his crush on Kim Bom but it's enough to create a love triangle that the audience can't ignore.

Inspired by Bom and the vibrant energy of college life, Sa Gye rediscovers his love for music and joins the band. As the two collaborate, their connection begins to shift into something deeper, offering both healing and emotional growth.

Spring of Youth, a series based on heart-warming music, the development and redemption of the main character and affectionate relationships, in the background of campus, is a must-see for you if you like this kind of content. The first episode will be aired on SBS this May.
